Bold, lush and so beautiful, “You Keep Me Hangin’ On” is another People’s Choice collaboration with my Instagram followers—I asked several poll questions in my Instagram Stories asking what variety of flowers, citrus and colors they wanted me to paint and I was able to arrange this beautiful composition with the most popular choices: deep purple background, coral peonies, kumquats and freesia. It felt collaborative and connecting in a time where we are all isolating. I documented every step of the process and shared on Instagram including a live painting session.

Sharing a title with Kim Wilde’s “You Keep Me Hangin’ On” (originally by the Supremes in 1967):

But your heart and soul needs to be free.
And now that you've got your freedom
You wanna still hold on to me.

Oil and cold wax medium on Arches oil paper mounted to a cradled wooden panel. The piece will be signed and dated on the back of the panel.
