I took some dedicated time to explore some new things that have been on my mind and chose four areas of concentration: I continue to be curious about exploring portraiture and figures (let’s just say I have a lot more exploration to do), some beautiful Autumn moons/skies, exploring some abstracted landscapes with positive affirmations drawn in the layers of paint—I think we can all appreciated a little positivity right now—and finally, some larger abstracted florals. All in all it was a fun week of concentrated time and although I was able to tune out a lot of distractions, I was not perfect, but it felt luxuriously indulgent, just as I hope that my upcoming Artist Residency in January in the Champagne Region of France will be (read more about my Residency). It’s just over three months away—EEK! Since most of this was somewhat experimental, I am offering everything as special pricing, and like every other painting I sell, I am ear-marking 50% of each sale to go specifically towards my Residency in France to help with travel and residency expenses. Additionally, everyone that purchases a painting will automatically receive one of the Postcards From France that I plan on creating upon return to the U.S. More on that here if you care to purchase a Postcard.
