A quiet moment of a sweet little bird among dogwood blossoms. When I was painting this I was thinking about giving myself margin, a little bit of grace in the creative process—allowing the painting to reveal itself when it’s ready to be revealed; giving myself time to rest and recover and welcome life in all of it’s unpredictability.

Oil and cold wax medium on Arches oil paper mounted to a cradled wooden panel. The piece will be signed and dated on the back of the panel.

This painting is framed in a beautiful white canvas floater frame and comes ready to hang with a wire hanger on the back.
