“Lift Me Up” is a lush little scene of white peonies and vibrant kumquats. I played a lot with color in the white of the peonies and love those cool blue shadows of the flowers set against the warm oranges of the kumquats.

This piece shares a title with Howard Jones’ song of the same name:

To lift me up
Won't you lift me up yeah
Won't you take me to a place that I once knew
And when you can see
You've always been there for me
I'm waiting for your love

Oil and cold wax medium on Arches oil paper mounted to a cradled wooden panel. The piece will be signed and dated on the back of the panel.
